I NEVER SET OUT TO BUILD A “PERSONAL BRAND.”
I set out to build a life.
For more than 20 years, real estate has been a big part of that. I started buying and renovating houses in 2012, built businesses around real estate, coached hundreds of people on investing, worked with hundreds of homeowners, bought some good deals, made some mistakes, took some lumps, and kept going.
Entrepreneurship gave me something I value deeply: independence.
Not the kind where you never have responsibilities. The opposite. When you own the outcome, you own the responsibility too.
There’s no guaranteed paycheck. Nobody is coming to rescue you. Some years are great. Some deals hurt. You learn to solve problems, trust yourself, get back up and keep moving.
I wouldn't trade that for much.
THEN I STARTED TALKING.
In 2020, COVID changed everything.
I watched government reach further into people’s lives than I ever thought I’d see in America. Businesses were shut down. Families were divided. Kids were pulled out of school. Basic freedoms suddenly felt conditional.
I had opinions about it, and I got tired of keeping them to myself.
So I started talking.
Faith. Family. Freedom. Personal responsibility. The Constitution. Capitalism. The principles that made America different in the first place.
Apparently, I wasn’t alone.
What started as me sharing my thoughts grew into hundreds of thousands of people following along across social media.
But something else happened along the way.
I realized politics was only one piece of the story.
MY LIFE IS BIGGER THAN POLITICS.
I love this country, and I’m not going to stop saying what I believe.
But politics is only one part of my life.
I’m just as interested in finding a great real estate deal, fixing up a house, building another business, getting stronger, going for a bike ride or a hike, exploring some beautiful corner of the Adirondacks, spending time with family, hanging out with my dogs, or hearing an incredible story about an ordinary American doing something extraordinary.
That’s actually my life. And that’s what Dave Brown USA is about.
This isn’t just another political account reacting to whatever happened in Washington five minutes ago.
Dave Brown USA is about building a good life in America — creating something of your own, taking care of yourself, loving your family, getting outside, pursuing opportunity, taking responsibility for your future, and living life on your own terms.
It’s about freedom, family, ownership, hard work and the founding principles that made this country exceptional — and believing those things are still worth pursuing, protecting and passing on.
THE PURSUIT IS HAPPINESS.
I keep coming back to those words.
Our founders didn't promise us happiness.
They recognized our right to pursue it.
I think that's an important distinction.
A meaningful life isn't handed to you. You build it.
You work. You take risks. You learn more from the deals that went bad than the ones that went well.
Nobody hands you the next one either.
You take responsibility for where your life goes next — because nobody else is going to.
And if you're fortunate enough to live in a country where you're free to pursue all of that, you don't take that freedom for granted.
That's my definition of the American Dream.
Not some guarantee that everybody ends up in the same place.
The opportunity to decide where you want to go—and then go earn it.
I'M STILL BUILDING.
This isn't a page about a guy who has everything figured out.
I don't.
I'm still buying houses. Still building businesses. Still creating content. Still working on my health. Still learning. Still screwing things up occasionally. Still changing my mind when the facts tell me I should.
And at this stage of my life, I'm increasingly interested in something bigger than just making more money.
I want time.
Time with the people I love. Time outside. Time to travel. Time to build things I care about. Time to pursue ideas because they interest me instead of because somebody told me I should.
Money matters.
But I've learned that the real goal is what money, ownership and independence can give you:
FREEDOM.
THAT'S WHAT DAVE BROWN USA IS ABOUT.
Real estate because ownership matters.
Entrepreneurship because independence matters.
Health because none of the rest means much if you can't enjoy it.
The outdoors because I think human beings were meant to spend a lot more time outside than we do.
Family because success doesn't mean much if there's nobody you care about to share it with.
America because, despite all of our problems, I still believe this country represents the greatest experiment in individual liberty the world has ever seen.
And faith because I believe there are things bigger than all of us.
I'm going to share what I'm learning as I go.
The deals.
The wins.
The mistakes.
The places.
The products I actually use.
The stories that inspire me.
The things happening in this country that I think deserve praise—and occasionally the things that deserve a good kick in the ass.
No manufactured lifestyle.
No rented Lamborghini.
No pretending I know everything.
Just my life, what I've learned building it, and hopefully a few ideas that help you build yours.
BUILD A LIFE YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO LIVE.
That's really the whole idea.
You don't have to own real estate.
You don't have to start a business.
You don't have to live in the mountains.
You definitely don't have to agree with me on everything.
But I hope you'll pursue something.
Build something.
Take care of yourself.
Spend more time with people you love.
Get outside.
Be grateful you're here.
And use the freedom you've been given.
Because the pursuit isn't something that starts someday.
This is it.
