The Lesson Of The Eagle And Crow

When America’s founders chose the Bald Eagle as our national symbol, they chose a creature that soars higher than any other - one that is strong, fearless, and free. The eagle doesn’t chase distractions or waste its energy on smaller birds. It rises above the noise.

That spirit defines what it means to be American. It is built on faith, hard work, and the relentless pursuit of freedom. But what we are seeing today is too many Americans trading that mindset for victimhood and blame. It's upon us - those who still believe in this country and the value of hard work- to be the eagles; the builders, the dreamers, and the doers.

As the largest bird of prey, Eagles are often harassed by smaller birds.

The crow, one of the birds brazen enough to fight an eagle, sits on the eagle's back and pecks its neck.

The eagle, much more powerful than the crow, could respond with violence, using its talons to crush the smaller bird, but it doesn't engage.

The eagle doesn't fight; it doesn't waste its time or energy on the crow. Instead, it opens its wings and begins to rise higher in the heavens.

The higher the eagle flies, the harder it is for the crow to breathe, and then, due to a lack of oxygen, the crow falls away, and the eagle is free.

Learn from the eagle, don't fight crows. They might caw and peck at you and try to steal your peace.

Don't succumb; they will soon fall off.

The eagle reminds us that we don’t defeat the noise by fighting it…we rise above it. Just as the crow can’t survive at the eagle’s altitude, small minds can’t breathe where vision and grit thrive.

America was built by people who soared higher, not those who settled lower. So let the crows caw, and keep climbing. Because the higher we rise in faith, courage, and conviction, the freer we all become.
